Strategic Partners – Atlanta Business League

The Atlanta Business League (ABL) is a thriving extension of the National Negro Business League (NNBL) which was founded in 1900. Dr. Booker T. Washington originally established the NNBL to enhance and expand economic prosperity within the African American community. Today, the Atlanta Business League serves as a pillar of economic growth for minority and female owned or operated businesses in metro Atlanta. The ABL is a strategic partner of the Georgia MBDA Centers. The group uses its collective influence to help small businesses navigate through the complexities of doing business within specific government and business communities.
Leona Barr-Davenport serves as the President and CEO of the Atlanta Business League. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from Benedict College, an HBCU, and started her career working for companies such as Gencom, Inc. and Broniec Associates. Ms. Barr-Davenport also received her M.B.A. from Clark Atlanta University through a program created by the Dean’s Community Improvement Scholarship.
Ms. Barr Davenport has more than 25 years of experience in program development, organizational management, and fundraising.
