Governor Brian Kemp Announced New Supplier Diversity Role
On July 13th, Governor Brian Kemp announced the creation of a position within the Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) to help strengthen and support Georgia’s small business ecosystem. The Small Business and Supplier Diversity Manager will work to broaden communication and engagement with minority-owned businesses.

“This announcement is an exciting first step on the road to economic equity in the state of Georgia. Ours is one of the most diverse states in the nation and home to many top-performing diverse businesses,” said Stacey J. Key, President and CEO of the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC) and Chair of the Georgia Chamber’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council.
